We are so excited to welcome you to Olympus Junior High School in August! There is a lot of information in this email, so we encourage you to bookmark this communication and come back to it as needed.
- APRIL 9: New Student Information Day @ Excelsior
- Our staff will be visiting the 6th graders at Excelsior Elementary to talk about their transition to junior high and answer any questions they might have.
- APRIL 9: Incoming 7th Grade Parent Information Night
- Wednesday, April 9th, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, we will hold our incoming Parent Orientation in our Gym. We will briefly overview the school, share what to expect in junior high school, and describe academic courses, elective selections, and enrichment courses. We will answer any questions you may have after the presentation. Students are welcome; however, this is designed for families.
- You will be able to purchase spirit shirts and PE clothing on this night! Since you will not have access to our School Web Store yet, this will be a cash-only purchase night.
- APRIL 21: Enrichment Selection Form
- We will be sending out a form on April 25 to share your students’ interests for their enrichment class here at Olympus. These offerings could be year long choices, such as Spanish or PLTW, or could be trimester selections, such as Woodshop or Ceramics. DUE MAY 2! You will not be able to submit any requests after 9:00 am on May 2.
- MAY 13: Olympus PTC Meeting
- Are you interested in being involved in our supportive and friendly PTC? Join our May meeting to meet the current members and hear about what is coming up in 2025/2026!
- MAY 15: Open House
- All Classes will be open for current and incoming students and families from 6:00-7:00 pm. We encourage you to visit our campus to see the classrooms and meet our amazing teachers!
- JUNE 10: Advanced Math Challenge Test #1
- If students would like to take our advanced math challenge test, they can join us here at Olympus on June 10th at 9:00 am. If students receive a passing score on this assessment, they will be placed in our advanced math courses for 2025/26.
- AUGUST 5: Advanced Math Challenge Test #2
- If students would like to take our advanced math challenge test, they can join us here at Olympus on August 5th at 9:00 am. If students receive a passing score on this assessment, they will be placed in our advanced math courses for 2025/26.
- AUGUST 12 - 7th Grade WEB Orientation (Students)
- Tuesday, August 12th all 7th-grade students are invited to our WEB Orientation for the morning. This event is highly recommended for ALL students to engage with our staff and WEB 8th grade leaders to help them feel welcomed, safe, and engaged here at Olympus…and to HAVE FUN! More information will be sent this summer.
- AUGUST 12 - Schedule Pick Up (Parents)
- Our MPR will be open on August 12th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm to pick up schedules, purchase PE clothes and spirit wear, and meet with administration.
