Throughout this trimester, we will be analyzing various pieces of evidence normally collected at crime scenes by forensic scientists. These pieces of evidence include: fingerprints, blood, bite marks, tire tracks, DNA, hair and fibers, and bones. Our focus will be on defining each type of evidence, examining how it is collected, learning what it is used for, and determining how it can lead to solving a crime. Students will have direct experience working with these pieces of evidence, simulating what it is like to be an actual forensic scientist!
