In this course, students will study a combination of Common Core 7th and 8th grade material that will include the following topics:

- Addition and Subtraction with Rational Numbers
- Multiplication and Division with Rational Numbers
- Ratios and Rates
- Constant of Proportionality
- Numerical and Algebraic Expressions and Equations
- Solving Equations and Inequalities
- Solving Problems with Equations and Inequalities
- Linear Equations
- Linear Functions
- Systems of Linear Equations
In addition we will address the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practices
- Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
- Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
- Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
- Model with mathematics.
- Use appropriate tools strategically.
